Guðrún Bergsteinsdóttir

Attorney and mediator

Guðrún is an attorney with the right to practice before the District Court and the Court of Appeal. She graduated from the University of Iceland with a cand. jur. degree and holds an LL.M. in European Law from Leiden University in the Netherlands. Additionally, she has completed studies in mediation and securities brokerage.

Guðrún has extensive experience in providing legal services to both businesses and individuals. Her corporate advisory work includes guidance on shareholder matters, the purchase and sale of shares or companies, and the drafting of various contracts, such as service, employment, and construction agreements. For individuals, she offers advice on inheritance issues and estate settlements, as well as assistance with asset division in divorce and cohabitation separations. Alongside this, she handles litigation related to her clients’ cases.

Guðrún is a co-founder of LOCAL Attorneys. She has served on the board of Eik, a real estate company, since 2016 and teaches a course on inheritance law at the Continuing Education University of Iceland.

Outside of work, Guðrún enjoys spending time outdoors. She is an avid runner, frequently goes hiking, and plays golf, often striving to keep her competitive spirit in check.
